Air Raid is a headstrong member of the Aerialbots who would rather fly into a group of Decepticons instead of gunning them from afar. Why? Because it's more fun! This attitude often puts him and his comrades in danger, though he almost as often tends to get them out of it.
Sometimes his teammate Fireflight steals his name.

When the Nemesis caught up with the Ark above Aquatron and caught it in a tractor beam, Air Raid participated in the initial counterattack along with his team before the five combined into Superion, crashing through the bridge before making their way to the hangar area with the intent to destroy the engines. Within such closed quarters however, the combiner's size proved more of a detriment than an asset allowing Megatron to expel them from his ship, seriously injuring them in the process.
They were repaired when Sideswipe brought the Ark down to the Quintesson city of Hydratron to rescue Optimus Prime and the others. The five fliers initially provided cover fire for their capital ship before they again combined into Superion to fight off the Sharkticon hordes. When the Autobots and Decepticons formed a shaky alliance against their mutual foes, the Ark was forced to physically tow the damaged Nemesis back to orbit with Superion providing the boost necessary to get the clamped ships airborne. When the warships had reached orbit however, the truce was declared over with the Aerialbots decombining and entering the Ark which set a course deeper into the Orion Arm. Retribution
During the Decepticons' assault on Iacon, Air Raid and Jetfire assisted Optimus by fighting off hordes of aerial Decepticons. As part of Optimus's plan to rescue Zeta Prime from imprisonment, he and some other Autobots allowed themselves to be captured and taken to Kaon. When Optimus, Sideswipe, and Bumblebee were to be executed by firing squad, Air Raid appeared outside the prison cell and destroyed their would-be executioners, freeing his friends. As the quartet readied for their mission however, Decepticon reinforcements arrived with Air Raid staying behind to let his friends escape. With Megatron masterminding events, Air Raid was placed as bait for Optimus, in a special cell guarded by Cloakers. When his friends arrived and freed him, Air Raid led them to the central data core of the prison where they staged a mass break-out. Hacking deeper into the systems, Air Raid found that Zeta Prime was being held in Soundwave's lab. Optimus ordered Air Raid to escort the escapees back to Iacon while he and his team rescued Zeta.
The situation however, only turned bleaker. Zeta had died from his wounds and Optimus, now Optimus Prime, had found that Cybertron's Core had become so grievously polluted by Dark Energon that it had to reboot. With no recourse left, Optimus ordered the whole of the Autobot fleet to abandon their home only for their ships to come under attack from Megatron's orbital station. Alongside Jetfire and Silverbolt, Air Raid was dispatched to assault the space gun directly, Air Raid's reservations about following the acrophobic Silverbolt disappearing considering the destructive nature of their sabotage. In their haste however, the Aerialbots had neglected to account for backup power systems, the bombing continuing unabated. As the trio flew deeper into the station, they found it to be a Titan known as Trypticon. When the monster turned his sights on Optimus Prime, Air Raid realized that they could target Trypticon's conversion cog and revert him to robot mode. While they were successful, the Titan used his jet pack to continue a coordinated assault on Iacon forcing the fliers to destroy the pack before gravity brought the ancient mech hurtling down to the planet.
Unable to keep up with a such a rapidly falling mass, the Aerialbots caught up with Optimus as he was fighting the giant. Air Raid attempted to toss down some energon grenades to his comrades but wound up swatted out of the sky by the Titan. Once he'd gotten back on his feet, the monster was felled and Optimus had ordered a new ship built for the High Command, the Ark, with which they would eventually leave their world in. Air Raid's default weapon is the Scatter blaster, which is best suited for close quarters, so picking up a medium-long ranged weapon like the Neutron Assault Rife is advised. His abilities are whirlwind, a spinning melee attack, and cloak.
During the Great War, Air Raid acted as a trainer for new recruits, leading them around a course and instructing them in basic combat. After sparring with the Autobots atop a building in Iacon City, Air Raid was happy to follow Optimus into battle.
Air Raid is an unlockable character for the Nintendo DS version of War for Cybertron and can replace any of the other characters on the Autobot team. Air Raid can be unlocked by defeating him in the Streets 6 Arena level.
When Bumblebee and Ironhide escaped from Kaon prison, Air Raid was on hand to provide air support as they blasted their way outta town. He used his missile system to clear the roads so they could make their way safely back to Iacon.
Later, Air Raid volunteered for a mission using the intel Ironhide and Bumblebee had recovered from Kaon. The Decepticons controlled a series of tunnels around the Core, feeding power between Trypticon and the Geosynchronous Energon Bridge. With Ironhide directing him on comms, Air Raid flew into the underground tunnels to access the bridge and take it off-line. He made his way through the security station, but attracted a lot of attention in the process, and had to take a new path to escape further underground. Closer to the Core, he fought his way through giant, worm-like creatures before getting back on the path to the Bridge. The final barriers before the Bridge were heavily guarded by a Destroyer and multiple troops, but Air Raid blasted his way through and cut power to the Bridge.
As the Autobots prepared to evacuate Cybertron, the Decepticons attempted to destroy their supply lines and bring down their transport ships. During one launch, Thundercracker and Skywarp commenced strafing and bombing of the Autobot position, so Optimus Prime dispatched Air Raid and Jetfire to hold off the Seekers. Air Raid prevented Thundercracker from setting off a series of explosives, and then he and Jetfire drove off the Seekers. Unfortunately, the Decepticons managed to get Trypticon back on-line, and the orbital station started taking potshots at the Autobots from the sky. Air Raid and the Aerialbots took to the air, shooting up the energon relay stations that fed power to Trypticon.
Unfortunately, once Trypticon Station fell to ground, it revealed itself as a massive Transformer, laying waste to Cybertron. As Optimus Prime coordinated the attack from the ground, Air Raid fought from the air until Trypticon finally went down, and the war continued for another day. Transformers: Cybertron Adventures
During the launch of the Ark, Air Raid stood alongside Jetfire and Silverbolt next to several wounded left in the aftermath of Bruticus's assault on the engine deck. The three assisted Jazz in launching several air-strikes at the Decepticon whenever the gestalt was tripped by the faster Autobot before a final barrage sent him hurtling off the ship and back to Cybertron. Air Raid appears as an Escalation-only character. His default ability is the Shockwave, with the Neutron assault rifle as his default weapon.
