Lightweight Directory Access Protocol Channel Binding for Microsoft Active Directory Hardening

The default configurations for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) channel binding and LDAP signing has known vulnerabilities that let LDAP clients communicate with them without enforcing LDAP channel binding and LDAP signing.

Microsoft recommended safe default configurations for LDAP channel binding and LDAP signing on Active Directory Domain Controllers that supersedes the default unsafe configurations are available in ADV190023 Microsoft Guidance for Enabling LDAP Channel Binding and LDAP Signing.

Oracle recommends that EPM System deployments that use MSAD follow the procedures in the Microsoft advisory to manually update LDAP channel binding and LDAP signing configurations until a fix is available from Microsoft.

After manually updating LDAP channel binding and LDAP signing configurations on the MSAD server, use only SSL connections in EPM System to access MSAD.
